Week 8 - Oct. 10-14

Greetings all!
 
Another exciting week in 3D – we became digital citizens as we took the first steps to set up our blogs, we read with our friends in Grade 1, we shared examples of our history and culture, we worked hard in our math centers, and, sadly, we took time to say good bye to Nancy Dickinson who was a Grade 1 teacher for some of us.  

Some updates:

1. Yesterday, all students reviewed and discussed our agreement regarding digital citizenship.  A parent permission form was sent home.  No student’s blog will go live until parent permission is given.  If you have any questions, Ms. D is happy to discuss our policy and how digital citizenship will be utilized in Grade 3. 
   
   
2. Next week students will be working on a personal cultural project.  Information will be sent home today and presentations will be giving towards the end of next week. 
   
   
3. UN Day is on Thursday, October 20th and there will be activities and performances throughout the day.  Exact times and details will be finalized early next week.
   
   
4. On Friday, October 21st we will have an in-class potluck for lunch to celebrate food from around the world.  Participation is optional as we know many are busy with UN Day and holiday preparations.  Please see the email from our wonderful 3D room parents to sign up.  If you did not receive the email, please contact Ms. D.
