Katherine Dunevant
Katherine has taught in a variety of locations, settings, and grades. Before joining ASW in 2016, she was in Shanghai, China as both a homeroom teacher and coordinator of the Grade 2 team at Shanghai United International School (SUIS) Hongqiao Campus. Prior to her three years in China, she was working with students from all backgrounds of the Guatemalan highlands at Atitlan Multicultural Academy in Panajachel, Guatemala. She has also worked with Teach For America in their Connecticut region, as well as, Sister Cities International. Katherine holds a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, with a PYP/international focus, from George Mason University. Her undergraduate focus was Anthropology and Italian at Arizona State University with time spent in Florence, Italy as a student learning in a second language. |
Sylwia Nowak
Sylwia was born in Poland in 1989. In 2011 she obtained her BA in American Studies. After graduation she moved to Warsaw. In 2015 she graduated in Preschool and early childhood with inclusive education at Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski. She has teaching practice in kindergarden, school and Psychological and Pedagogical Counselling Center. In 2015 she started work at ASW as teaching assistant in 3rd grade. She loves to work with kids and appreciate to spend time with them. She is interested in photography but she loves hiking the most. She has been going to the Polish Mountains every year for 20 years. She went there when she was 6 years old and she fell in love with mountains. |
