This week in 3D we had many guests! We are thankful for Wendy and Qingtian’s family who joined us on Friday to tell us more about one of the most important festivals in Chinese culture, Lantern Festival. Check out Qingtian and Wendy’s presentations below to learn more. We were treated to a traditional tasty sweet and made our own lanterns. All of us were courageous and wrote in Chinese as well!
On Wednesday, Ms. Hamlin joined us to discuss empathy, acceptance, and how we all need modifications from others. We had some fun learning more about each other by discussing the many ways we are connected and how we need different things. We began our new unit this week and began discussing How the World Works with the following questions: How does Earth change? What is the structure of Earth? What is geology? What is survival? We found out that, collectively, we already know a lot about these questions and we made connections to previous learning! We’re looking forward to investigating these topics more next week. Happy Friday!!
