Unit of Inquiry: I need YOU, the parents, to think of some inspiring and wonderful ideas on how we can explore systems in our community. Our first unit of inquiry is focused on systems, services, and organization. You may want to come in and share systems you use at work, help to organize a trip to the grocery store to see how it's organized, share photos from a time where you worked with an organization. We are open-minded, so any idea is a good idea. Please email me.
Homework: Below is the link to the unit description and homework for our first unit of inquiry. Students need to complete 30 minutes of homework each night: 20 minutes of reading and 10 minutes of one choice learning activity. The homework will be available digitally. This allows students to click on links and it allows me the flexibility of adding new assignments based on what we learn in class each day. Please click below to see the homework:
Unit 1: How We Organize Ourselves
How to Select Books: Do you have difficulty helping your child choose books at their appropriate reading level? You can help to keep things consistent for your child by supporting our message at school on how to PICK books. You can read more here on how I teach your child to select appropriate books: help your child PICK a book.
