We’re off!! What a great start to the year! This week we got to know each other, started some new routines with our morning meetings, and we learned a lot about what we need from each other to learn and grow in our own way. On Wednesday, we visited Ms. James in the library and are now able to check out books any time we like. Our class library check-out time will be on Tuesdays. Ms. James also asked that we return any library books we borrowed over the summer. Ms. James gave us a great writing prompt and we started our writing journals with “If I were a book, my title would be…”. It was so much fun and a great way to learn more about each other and grow our community. We also started our Number Talks and learned there are many different ways of thinking and many different ways to solve problems. We’re learning how to grow our brains and that mistakes are awesome; they are the best way to learn! We also agreed that everyone thinks differently and that we have much to learn from each other. Tuesday of next week is class time for parents! Back-to-School Night Tuesday, 29 August, at 18:00 (6PM) Happy Friday!!!
